Zoe's update

In Jerusalem, Daddy bought me a little stuffed ram. I named it Hammy. I wanted it because it reminded me of my job at Nazareth Village where I work with Becky and the sheep. Why he bought me that is because I did a good job of telling him interesting things I saw and heard on our tour. The most interesting thing I saw was the stained glass near where Jesus had his last supper. It was bumpy and streaky and really beautiful.

We stayed at the Guest House and I got the lower bed of course because I’ve had a little bed for my whole life and Nina got the top one. We saw this little kitten that I named Tabby. He didn’t wiggle out of our arms, so I could pick him up. He’s the sweetest thing!

In Bethlehem, a monk [Russian Orthodox priest] gave me a bracelet with little pictures of Mary and Jesus and Joseph on it. That’s when we went down under the church to the part of the cave near where Jesus was born. I got to light a candle there. It was so cool. I saw the other monks in the church. [Pic: "Monks" scrape candle wax off the floor.]

At the Dead Sea, Nina and Lily and I decided to all take our first step into the water at the same time. Floating was awesome!

Aunt Nan, I really want you to come to Nazareth. You should stay where we’re staying. It’s a good place, too. Except Nina and Lily have bugs in their mattresses, but don’t worry, the bugs won’t get you.

I would really like to travel to Nazareth and see all of the wonderful things you are seeing. I think the bugs in the beds would really freak me out however!
