Sneakers, two pairs of flip flops, river sandals, and first century leather sandals. My feet do not like this fickle environment and are putting up a big stink (ha ha not that kind) about it. Both feet are dry and leprosy-looking, while my right foot decided to break out in a blister community. Yum. And not even where my shoes are rubbing! Weiiird. One thing we learned about Arab culture is that you aren't supposed to show people the bottom of your foot. It's considered vulgar and demeaning, so we're watching how we cross our legs. :)

So sorry if you think this picture is gross, which you probably will, even if you aren't Arab.

Yesterday we went to some cool pools in Gan ha-Shlosha National Park near Beit She'an. I loved them very much. They are warm. They are an oasis in a harsh land. Nina and I caught a fishie.

We were just a few kilometers from Jordan. I wanted to go in but Mom thought it would take too long because of political checkpoints.
In the town of Beit She'an, there is real old Roman and Greek stuff! We saw that after we swam.

Hi Lily,
There's nothing like a nice bag of ice to rest your feet when your "dogs" are getting sore and tired. . .or will it melt the moment you take it out of the freezer?!
My feet hurt for you!
Love,
Kim R
